We’re all dealing with issues. We usually get through them and move on. Other times, however, it can feel as if we’re locked in a loop and get in a rut. Having that said, there is always a ray of hope at the end of the tunnel. Just keep going until you discover a way out. Try the following to get unstuck and break free from your rut.

It’s Ok to Feel Not Ok
You might see this statement somewhere in this blog. Yes, as important things need repetition. Accepting your current situation is a way of being friends with your soul. Don’t force it to feel good when it can’t. Give your mind some space for disappointment, displeasure, grift, and other bad feelings. Only when you are aware that you are in trouble can you move to the next step of finding the way out. Being able to call out your feelings and express your emotions is no wonder to be critical in self-care and self-love practice.
Time to Focus on Yourself
If you are reaching a dead-end due to some shitty circumstances, let it go a bit and start doing something for yourself, for your own sake. Think about what makes you feel good and peaceful in your mind. Changing the environment, taking some days off, digging into your favorite Netflix episodes, going on a date with your hubby. I’m inclined to believe that it is cruel not to pamper yourself, especially when you are getting in a tight corner. Stay calm and seriously pick up something that you truly need. Remember that your happiness is always the first priority, and base all of your decisions on how much joy they will offer you.
Find Something to Be Thankful For
When we are in a jam, we often talk bad to ourselves and find that everything surrounding us is terrible or inferior to others. It does no good to your situation but make it worse instead. Finding something positive among the negative is proved to be a good cure for depressions or misery. Practice this, you will realize that life has so many more beautiful things to offer, and that you are here to enjoy and adore it. When you get soaked in the rain, be grateful that you still have a home to be back. When you lose your current job, stay optimistic that you are still able to send your resume tomorrow and a better position is waiting for you out there.
Connect with Friends and Family
Get away from your sadness by meeting those whom you are comfortable being with. Don’t shut off yourself from the outside world for too long. Of course, it’s ok to give yourself some quiet moments. But it will be even better if you can confide in someone after that. Sometimes, it might be hard to share your stories with close people. Then talking to strangers also helps. A problem shared is a problem halved.
Keep Taking Care of Your Physical Health
Physical and mental health are inextricably linked together. Therefore, even when you are at your wits’ end, don’t treat your body badly. Keep doing exercises, build up new good habits, try new hobbies, you will find you are gaining your energy back to fight the bad feelings away.
