Build up a Simple Morning Routine
After waking up, do not rush out of the bed right away. Instead, stretch your body on the bed and take some first deep breaths. After two or three times, now you can get down. If you are still not fully awake yet, try some more body stretches off the bed or take some steps around your room. Before brushing your teeth, drink a cup of water. This way, the germs and bacteria in your mouth can be cleaned out and your immune system also gets stronger. Now, it’s time for your morning cleansing.
Above is what the experts believe good for your health. Apart from them, you can think of any favorite activities that can make you feel happy and keep practicing them. Listening to some acoustics music, lighting some candles, reading some pages of books, or even playing a piece of piano songs. Anything can help as long as you make time for it.
Put Your Mobile Phone Down
Put your mobile phone down and keep yourself in a no-tech zone for 15 minutes every two hours. I believe that most of us now are so addicted to our mobile phones due to their convenience and sense of entertainment. If you are holding your cell phones for more than 70% of your free time, think about quitting this bad habit. We are surrounded by screens from computers and televisions all day long. Let’s give your eyes some breaks. Stay away from your mobile phones and other gadgets in 15 minutes every two hours. You can get up and do some exercises instead. Make a cup of tea or enjoy some chapters in your favorite novel. Tell me what is cooler than that?
Take the Stairs Instead of Elevators
If you are a workaholic, you always run around the clock that you don’t have time for a workout every day, this is a good habit that you should build. The purpose is for you to take more extra steps. Anything that makes your move more often than sitting will also add up. Try walking to work, taking the stairs when you get to the office, parking a bit further from your final destination. You’ll find your health improves gradually.
Bring a Bottle of Water with You Everywhere
No one can deny the power of water in human body. You must always be advised to drink enough water in a day. That is one of the most basic therapies or habits to keep one stay healthy and energetic. But we might forget about it when we are busy at work or when we are out and don’t have water around. Bringing a bottle of water everywhere you go will train yourself to keep the habit of providing your body enough water.
Read Books for 30 Minutes before Going to Bed
I was keeping the habit of reading news from my mobile phones before going to bed. And then after a while, I got insomnia. I was so into the phones that I couldn’t sleep a wink and spent the whole night checking social media or watching videos. Luckily, I found this didn’t happen when I picked up a book instead of the phone. Trust me! Some pages of book do make it easier for you to get into your sleep. It also eases your eyes from the screen light and keeps you updated with good knowledge. “Take a good book to bed with you – books do not snore.”
It does not cost you a penny to pick up these small habits. Just be stricter with yourself to become a better you tomorrow.
